Merry Christmas and Happy Halloween !
The only pictures i had to post that hadn't been seen.
Every day at least 3 times Wyatt asks me if it is Christmas time and we can open presents. I have to tell him that just because it is snowing outside or just because this doesn't mean it is Christmas day. He doesn't quite get the whole 10 more days idea. I finally had to threaten to take away all of the presents if he didn't quit playing with them.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. My thought are with you even if my Christmas cards aren't.
I'm grateful for our many blessings this year, for sticking to a budget that helps me remember the true meaning of Christmas.

The first pumkins of the Season
Grandma Maria and Grandpa Eldon came up for conference weekend. Grandma brought a pumpkin from her garden so we got to carve it. It was a lot of fun. I got to scoop out the pumpkin guts. Oh the joys of being a mom.
I thought I got an after picture too, but I guess not. It was good I promise. Now it is in the first stages of decay, so I'm going to put it in the compost bin.

At the Fair
I entered my horse in the Fair this year. It was a lot of fun. I participated in the Western and English Equitation and Pleasure classes. I also did the gaming which are speed events like barrels and poles and an obstacle course. I got 3 3rd place ribbons and 22 bucks. It was a good learning experience as almost everything was new to me and everything was new to my horse. Scout (my horse) showed a lot of potential.

Scout all trimmed and polished in his stall at the fair.

Me in all but my helment english riding get up. I love the pants. NOT!
Wyatt also got to go on his first rollercoster he loved it.

Playing Catch up
Hello All,
We've been kind of busy. Since my last post Josh has finished another piece of furniture and we're more than half way through another. We're thinking about renting a place to do business so I can reclaim the garage. I'm watching summer start to slip into fall.

Alexis and Dan

An awesome picture of Alexis' red shoe

I went huckleberry picking with my grandma and grandpa. The berries were huge! It was fun. We just left Ella in the backpack and Grandpa broke off bushes so she could dine with ease like a little Ella bear.

My mother in law got this at a garage sale. It might be a little small come October, but it is soooo cute! He is always pretending to be a dinosaur.

This is a piece we did for some friends of ours to alleviate the shoe jumble in the Garage. We called it the shoe bench. It is made our of pine. I thought it turned out nice especially after it was gone.

Anniversary Adventure
For our anniversary this year we decided to do something a little more adventurous. We took a two and a half day hike up Palasaides Creek though Waterfall Canyon and out Little Elk Creek. It was right around 18 miles and we were out by 10:00 on the third day. It was quite the hike. We camped at the top of the upper lake the first night
and in the bowl at the bottom
We saw an unfriendly moose
This is Josh in some pretty country below the bridge the upper lake and just past the cabin. It says it's a mile and 2 tenths from the cabin to the upper lake but I don't belive it.
We also saw some wolves (interesting huh). Enjoy the pictures. It really was a lot of fun, and something different. We did get rained on the first day, and hiked through the snow the second day, so I'm really glad I had two pairs of shoes.
This is me in front of the biggest waterfall of the two in waterfall canyon. It was about the 19th of June when we were there and spring was just barely coming to that valley.
Me at the top of a pretty scary climb. Josh was kicking steps and we climbed up stuff steep enough that you could reach out your arm while in a standing position and touch the mountain in front of you.
Birthday Season
In our house we have a season of birthdays. There are 3 within a 2 week period. So here are the birthday cake pictures, except for mine which we forgot to take a picture of, don't worry you're not missing much.

Wyatt had a lot of fun. He is going through a Thomas the Train phase. Josh has always loved boats so I printed off a picture of a schooner off the computer and copied it free-hand on to the cake.
Here is a video, he still has a little trouble blowing out the candles. All those in the video who don't want to be, I apologize.
Josh's Mom does a combined birthday party for Wyatt, Josh and I. I don't have any pictures of the cake it was pretty interesting. Here is a picture of the balloons the next day. Ella was in balloon heaven.

And fun was had by all
Happy Birthday Ella !
The cake was made of creamfilled cupcakes. They were pretty good. Way too much frosting because I had to use it as a crack filler but it was pretty good.

She loves to sit on boxes. This one was her birthday present. Pretty cute!
Here is a video at the birthday party. We had a combined one with Cousin Brynn. Lots of family in attendance. Including Jack the infamous dog. He goes by many names, Jackie do right, Jack the crack, all very original for the Jack Russel Terrier from Aus. He loves balloons some would call it cruel but it makes for great party fun.

They love to swing! They both actually like to swing together better. I think they feel more safe. This picture is at Manito park. They have a great park.

This one is for Aunt Julie she keeps the kids well outfitted in Vandal gear. Thanks!
This is Josh at Treaty rock. It is a fun place with a great old merry go round. you know the ones you spin. It was great. Wyatt didn't like it though.

My mom and sister came to visit over conference weekend and we had a lot of fun. Oh
A video of Ella laughing in the swing it's great.

Which do you think is Store bought?
Without cheating ell me which you think is bought from the store and why. Strictly for quality control. (There are two pictures of each piece)

How well do you think they match?
Now scoll down and look at which is our and tell me how much you think it is worth.
I would love any sort of feed back positive or negative. We hope to have some sort of website soon even if it is just another blog.
FYI I mixed the stain this is not a color you can buy at home depot. The spindles are held in place by a little square hole that Josh chiseled by hand.

Look What Josh Did!!
Well here is is Werill Woodworks first piece of furniture. Josh did a lot of it by hand and earned enough on it to go buy some tools to do it for him next time. I did the finish and over all we are very happy with it. We learned a lot and hope to improve with each piece we do.

From a distance and Josh's parent's house.

From the top. You can see the color and the wood grain. It is quarter sawn white oak.

Up close.
More pictures to follow as long as a comparison to a Stickly piece.

February/ March Update
I had some great pictures I wanted to post. So here is a visual update.
Wyatt burned his hand on his grandparents stove but has healed pretty well and I think the scars will fade.

Wyatt and Ella playing in a wagon. It was a good game, but that wagon is so tippy that I had to put the kibosh on it.
.
The cake I made for Josh for Valentines day. I was going for red, but I decided I didn't need that much red 5 in my system so we got pink.

Also Ella with a clip in her hair. I love that her hair is a little curly after her bath. It is fun to put something in but also kind of bothersome. I'm not overly good at accessorizing since I don't do it often myself.
