Survival of the Trenches

Emma Eleanore Werner

Born Saturday, March 29th at 4:22 A.M.

She is a whopping 17.5 inches long and weighs 7 pounds 15 ounces
Well we all made it out of the trenches alive, and we have a baby and only a few battle scars to show for it. She has a purple beanie in stead of a purple heart but hey, I'll take it. Maybe she'll get her purple heart for valor in battle with Wyatt who can't quite decide if she is a doll or a real baby.

Right now everyone is sleeping and after I eat something, and take some pain killers, I'll join the ranks. This is a picture of my squadron doctor and nurse included.

Enjoy everyone and please excuse the cheezy references to battle survival. The sad part is that they have their place. Oh p.s. were going to call her Ella

Easter Fun for the Future Acupuncturist

Easter came with a blizzard so it didn't feel too much like spring, but it was still nice enough to go outside. A few days ago Wyatt got into my sewing stuff and pulled out all of the pins. I knew that the quiet was too good to be true. So he had all of my pins sticking into my mattress. I'm lucky I found them all without having to sit on them.

As for Easter, we got a kite for the family and have enjoyed being outside.

It has been a lot of fun.
Wyatt even got to fly it. He was a little distracted by all of the people playing soccer and basket ball, but he had fun.

Speaking of balls, Wyatt got a basket ball for Easter and I thought that he would be very excited, but he walked up to his Easter bowl chucked the ball over his shoulder and had three pieces of candy in his mouth in the next second. It was pretty funny.Wyatt didn't think his new suit was funny. He kept pulling at his tie and saying, "hurts". I personally thought THAT was pretty funny. His tie only lasted 10 minutes into sacrament meeting, but he looked good for the picture. Anyway it's been a good Easter and I'll be glad when I can chase the kite without a baby in my belly. Only 2 weeks to go. YEAH!

A little early for the Beach

We all needed an outing on Saturday so we went to the lake. It was really pretty warm even though it was cloudy. The lake is really low. I guess I was expecting the spring run off to have it full, but spring isn't quite here yet. Every time I think spring has arrived it starts to snow. Grandma Hill sent some early easter toys so we had to go try them out. I think Josh had just as much fun as Wyatt. Especially when I quit taking pictures. Wyatt ended up with sand everywhere and wet feet. He kept running out in the water to throw rocks in the water. He is getting to be quite the little boy and thus a big handful.

New Camera update

Hey Everyone!
I finally got that new camera I've been saving my pennies for so I can fill you in on what we have all been up to. I am finished with the crib skirt and bumper. Not too bad for winging it.

We have 3 new additions to the family a gecko we named Rosa and 2 fish. The fish aren't pictured as one of them is not doing well at all. We all like the gecko, Josh and Wyatt especially. We don't let Wyatt play with her much because he has a hard time not scaring her to death. Josh likes to let her out on the computer desk because she can't get lost. She climbed up on top of there all by her self. She is surprisingly agile. It is about 4-5 inches up to that shelf. Anyway all is well, and only 4 weeks to go more or less before the baby arrives. Something tells me she'll be a lot more high maintenance than the gecko.
