Heritage Makers

Hey everyone,

I just became a Heritage Makers Consultant. It is a digital scrapbooking company. I am mostly doing it to save money on their awesome products, but I wouldn't mind spreading the news either. For those of you who are very observant. I only removed the baby counter because it seemed inaccurate and that annoyed me, as if I want something adding weeks to go. I find out on the 25th what we are having.

The Chickens have landed... somewhere else

So on our anniversary we thought it would be fun to put the finishing touches on the chicken coop we were building, instead of go out to dinner. We also wanted to move it to its new location. It was really necessary but it did kind of rub. Anyway we got it moved Josh was nervous but I thought an 8X6X6h coop is nothing compared to the grainery or garage I watched my dad move. That was intense. Anyway, a picture of the unfinished coop and then one of it on the trailer. We put all 20 birds in the coop and drove the 15 miles to my in-laws house, very slowly avoiding all major highways,  stopping often to check the load, the birds fell asleep, and all went well during the unloading on the other end. Oh it was dark too, not part of the original plan, but obviously not insurmountable. I think that Josh really enjoyed himself.

My latest project is putting up a chair rail in my dinning room. Much harder than on would think, but I'm pleased with the result of my 5 hour project. Of course you have to subtract diaper changes, lunch, and laying down for naps, but start to finish it was 5 hours. I was really wishing my brother was there. He could have done it in less than one, but I did truly enjoy myself. I feel rather accomplished, I might just have to start my OWN shoe bench instead of waiting for Josh to do it.:)

Eleanore and a Horse....

So this little girl loves to ride anything she can sit astride and call a horse. From the arm of the couch, to the rocks, to well anything use your imagination. So when I was putting in the garden I wanted her to quit tromping through my freshly planted seeds so I got out one of my saddles and put it on a rock.


A picture of our raised beds because our soil is so rocky. I unfortunately froze the melons and the cucumber, but my peppers and tomatoes made it. The potatoes are coming up really well too. I am hoping that moving our garden out of the back yard will give it enough light. Now I just have to keep Eleanore out of it. She likes to traipse through it with her bare feet. I can really relate because I used to traipse through the corral, but my carrots won't take much more of it. In fact you can see her foot prints in the picture. This dirt is the soil recipe (funny huh) from gardening by the square foot, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Chickens

To all of you who said the 20 chickens is a lot you are right. Josh hasn't had to mow the lawn for 3 weeks and the chickens are killing it around the edges. Lets just say I'll be glad to get rid of the majority of them. We are sending them to my in-laws as soon as we finish the coop josh is building. In my opinion it would make a great play house almost too nice for chickens, but hey no point in doing anything half way.

I think there are 20 chickens in this picture, but it is hard to get them all at once, and again this was two weeks ago, so they are twice this big.

This is the big coop that I think would make a fun play house, but we should finish it sometime soon and then I can say audios to the many chickens.
