For our anniversary this year we decided to do something a little more adventurous. We took a two and a half day hike up Palasaides Creek though Waterfall Canyon and out Little Elk Creek. It was right around 18 miles and we were out by 10:00 on the third day. It was quite the hike. We camped at the top of the upper lake the first night
and in the bowl at the bottom
We saw an unfriendly moose
This is Josh in some pretty country below the bridge the upper lake and just past the cabin. It says it's a mile and 2 tenths from the cabin to the upper lake but I don't belive it.
We also saw some wolves (interesting huh). Enjoy the pictures. It really was a lot of fun, and something different. We did get rained on the first day, and hiked through the snow the second day, so I'm really glad I had two pairs of shoes.
This is me in front of the biggest waterfall of the two in waterfall canyon. It was about the 19th of June when we were there and spring was just barely coming to that valley.
Me at the top of a pretty scary climb. Josh was kicking steps and we climbed up stuff steep enough that you could reach out your arm while in a standing position and touch the mountain in front of you.
